Ngunyumu borehole or well installed by TM Ministry.
Clean drinking water is a critical need in many rural areas of Kenya. More people die of dysentery than malaria, cholera, and HIV Aids combined. This is caused by using stagnant water holes that are also used by animals. These water holes can be located as far as 8 miles away. Another important function of a new well is irrigation for crops and vegetable plots. Many seasons experience crop failure due to insufficient rain fall causing widespread food shortages.
TM Ministry installed this bore hole/well in the community of Ngunyumu. As a result, the community has been transformed. People now have access to clean drinking water which makes them healthier. The use of irragation with the well water has ensured good crop harvest every growing season. Many people grow extra crops and sell them at the market for much needed income. The picture below center a woman is packaging native crops for the community to plant. The man on the right shows his successful harvest. TM plans to drill bore holes/wells in Itheuni and Muumoni.
The man in the picture on the upper left had been struggling with the drought conditions that had plagued the community. A sustainable income was hard to come by and his life was at a standstill with little hope for the future. He was struggling with alcohol but found new hope after the well was installed. He was able to begin growing vegetables by irrigating with the well water. His life has turned around and he has become a vital member of the community. He also began attending church services at the church planted by TM Ministry. In the center picture Seeds are being sorted to disperse to the community. The picture on the right shows a man with his harvest after using the seeds from TM Ministry.

Kambusu borehole or well installed by TM Ministry
The Kambusu well is drilled which will supply clean water to the community and the Kambusu Vocational and Christian Training Institue, pictured in the background. The well pumps are powered by solar panels. The water is stored in black tanks allowing access to the community.
TM Ministry sponsored community co-ops
TM Mistry started a chicken raising co-op program in the Tala area. Through donations an incubator was purchased and pens were built. The chickens laid eggs which were hatched in the incubator until each family had their own chickens. The eggs and chickens were an added sources of nutrition. Extra chickens were raised to sell at the market. This renewable resource provided the transformation the local families needed.
TM started a goat raising program. The program grew until each family had their own goats. Another reliable source of nutrition and income.
